Camp Chandigarh 2007


One of the core activities of Naad Pargaas is its academic camps. Naad Pargaas students and invited guest present their research papers during the Gurmat camps. One such camp was organised in Chandigarh from July 14 to July 17, 2007. The camps are organized to encourge students about Sikh Chintan and encourage scholorship among young students. The research papers were presented over three days under presidentship of various sikh scholors and writers. Kavi Darbaar was also organized during the camp. Khoj Da Gurmat Sankalp (concept) by Kawaljit Singh. Kawaljit Singh is Research fellow in School of Punjabi studies at Guru Nanak Dev University Sri Amritsar. He is currently pursuing Phd in Parvasi Punjabi Kavta vich Myth Rupantar [Myth transformation in immigrant Punjabi poetry].
   
Guru Sakhiyaan ch Baag (ਬਾਗ) by Paramjit Singh. Paramjit Singh is Research fellow in School of Punjabi studies at Guru Nanak Dev University Sri Amritsar. He is currently pursuing Phd in Sikh Ithasik Novel: Ittyaas Drishti [ Sikh Historic Novel - Historical View ].








Brahm Da Sankalp Sampuranta Wal Safar by Kuldeep Singh. Kuldeep Singh is Research Scholar at Guru Nanak Dev University Sri Amritsar. He is currently pursuing Phd in Punjabi Gulp(fiction). His research topic is Punjabi Gulp vich Visangiti- [Absurdity in Punjabi fiction].

Cinema Sikh Dishaa (direction) by Satnam Singh. Satnaam Singh has B. Tech(Mech Engg.) and MBA from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. He is currenlty serving as a manager in Food Corporation of India.

Hermeneutics - (ਵਿਯਾਖਿਯਾ ਸਿਖ ਰਾਹ) by Sukhwinder Singh. Sukhwinder Singh is research scholar in Guru Nanak Sikh Studies Dept. at Guru Nanak Dev University and is pursuing Phd in Sikh Hermeneutics (Vekhiya Parnali). His Phd research topic is Sikh World View.

Sikh Calligraphy (ਸਿਖ ਲਿਖਣ ਕਲਾ) by Varinderpal Singh. Varinderpal Singh is MBA from Guru Nanak Dev University is currently working as Manager in Punjab State Co-operative Agricultural Development Bank.

Puratan Imarat Usari di Samagari by Raval Singh - Raval Singh completed Masters in Architecture from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar and is currently working as lecturer in the Dept of Architecture Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. He has done extenssive research on sikh architecture in North India.

Presidential address by Dr Hardev Singh Sachaar – Late Dr. Hardev Singh Sachaar presided over the camp on the last day. He was the chief Guest and inspiration behind the camp.
